About Heath
Heath Tarbert is President of Circle Internet Financial, the issuer of the USDC stablecoin. He joined Circle in July 2023 as Chief Legal Officer and Head of Corporate Affairs. Before that he chaired the US Commodity Futures Trading Commission from 2019 to 2021, after serving as Assistant Secretary of the Treasury for International Markets. His move from the CFTC to a stablecoin issuer is one of the more visible regulator-to-industry transitions in US crypto policy.
