Methodology and update cycle
This tracker is compiled from primary regulatory sources — national gazettes, NCA publications,
ESMA updates, and EUR-Lex transposition entries. Updates are scheduled quarterly. The next
scheduled update is 2026-09-01; ad-hoc updates are published for material changes.
Status definitions:
- Operational — MiCA in full effect; transitional regime closed; steady-state authorisation pipeline live.
- Transitional open — Pre-MiCA register or authorisation regime still operating in parallel; existing providers have time to file CASP applications.
- Pending — EEA jurisdictions awaiting EEA Joint Committee adoption decision; effective implementation lags EU by 6-18 months.
- Non-EU framework — Jurisdiction operates a separate crypto-regulatory regime parallel to MiCA; no automatic MiCA passport.
