About Joe

Joe Beashel is a partner and co-head of Matheson's Financial Institutions Group, with around thirty years in financial-services regulation. He was one of two lead partners on Matheson's work helping Kraken secure the first MiCA licence granted by the Central Bank of Ireland, and his authorisation practice spans e-money, payments and crypto. Chambers ranks him Band 1 for FinTech Legal in Ireland. He now heads Matheson's London office, though his regulatory practice remains anchored in Ireland.
