About Robert
Robert Kopitsch is the co-founder and Secretary General of Blockchain for Europe (BC4EU), the Brussels industry association that has represented major crypto firms in EU policy since 2018. In that role he was directly involved in the negotiation of MiCA, the Transfer of Funds Regulation (Travel Rule), and the AMLR. He also leads APCO's FinTech and blockchain practice for EMEA. In 2026 he is one of the loudest industry voices warning against reopening MiCA mid-implementation — telling Bloomberg that fresh changes would inject legal uncertainty and divert resources from consistent application. He holds three master's degrees across public communication, contemporary history, and European politics.
