About Thomas

Thomas Dünser is Head of the Office for Financial Market Innovation in the Liechtenstein Government and the architect of the country's Token and Trusted Technology Service Providers Act (TVTG), in force since 1 January 2020. The TVTG — the "Blockchain Act" — was one of the first national laws anywhere to give tokens and TT service providers a full statutory framework rather than a sandbox. Dünser has spent more than seven years in government after senior roles in banking, industry, and consulting, and he led the regulatory project end to end. He is a regular keynote on token economy and the interaction between the TVTG and MiCA, and his office runs Liechtenstein's national MiCA implementation.
